I have a professional background in community work and am a parent to a three-year-old. I have ties to the east coast: the real east coast, not Ontario. I am a person who feels deeply and values human connection. I can be sarcastic. I get excited about trying new experiences. I’m learning to be unapologetic about my humanness.

My dating history

I find dating in É«É«À² difficult. I’m over the apps and I’m not making meaningful connections in my day-to-day life. É«É«À² can feel like a revolving door, picture-perfect pressure to have it figured out.

I’ve never married but have had one serious long-term partner who is my child’s other parent. I’ve mostly dated using apps in the past, although I had met my last partner in person through my work. I haven’t dated much or for many years and am just now re-entering that realm.

I have been single about two-and-a-half years now. While the freedom has been great, I do miss having someone to share life’s moments with, and the emotional connection and intimacy that comes with building a partnership. I love the excitement of being with someone new, there’s a certain type of energy in the unknown and navigating those first steps and then settling into comfort with a person.

What I’m looking for in a partner

I am looking for someone who is emotionally intelligent, thoughtful, communicative, and is willing to grow with me, both individually and together. I need someone who I can be truly authentic with — learn, unlearn, and grow with and who supports me in realizing a life that I want.

While not by any means a must, I’d love a partner who is musical, enjoys travelling, and likes a good pub. Bonus points for strong arms!

I’m a solo parent to a toddler who lives with me full-time, but I still have to navigate interactions with their other parent, so I need someone who understands that. If you want a partner who has no responsibility or a completely open schedule, we likely won’t be a good match.

Why I’m doing it this way

I decided to take part in this series out of curiosity. I wanted to try something new, challenge my comfort zone, and see if I can find some deeper connections in the process.

I want a relationship that is easy to navigate but doesn’t lack depth. I want a connection that’s built on trust, where everyone is comfortable being our authentic selves. I envision a partnership where we can share life’s joys and challenges, laugh together, and create meaningful memories, whether we’re enjoying quiet intimate moments or taking on new adventures.
