Homicide victim was shot prior to overnight car crash in Mississauga, police say
Just before the crash, the man had been shot while in the vehicle a short distance southwest from the crash site, near Mid-Way Boulevard and Invader Crescent, according to police.
The death of a man injured in an overnight crash is being investigated as a homicide after Peel police discovered he had been shot before the crash.
Officers received a report of a single-vehicle crash on , around 1:45 a.m. on Monday morning.

Investigators believe the victim crashed on Dixie Road while trying to flee the scene.Â
The driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he was later pronounced dead. He has been identified as Gurvinder Singh, a 24-year-old man from Caledon.
Police have no suspect information and are asking anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact them at 905-453-2121 ext. 3205, or through Crime Stoppers if they would like to remain anonymous.
Dixie Road is closed to southbound traffic between Derry Road East and Mid-Way Boulevard and people are advised to avoid the area.
