Police found one an adult female who was dead inside the downtown Brampton residence, and two others, a man and a woman, with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. 

A man was arrested and charged at the scene, Const. Mandeep Khatra told the Star adding that “an edged weapon” was used in the fatal altercation.

The altercation “took place outside and inside the residence,” Khatra said.

Khatra confirmed that there is “no familial relationship,” between the accused man and the deceased woman. Police did not name any of the people involved, only saying that they were all adults.

“This is an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety,” police say.
