The Ontario Provincial Police are searching for a driver after a hit-and-run collision caused a second crash involving a police cruiser.Ìý
The driver of a black Lexus was driving west on Highway 401 near Weston Road just after 1:30 a.m. on June 23 when they were side-swiped by a grey Honda Civic, OPP said in .Ìý
The collision caused the Lexus driver to crash into a concrete barrier and an OPP vehicle that was stopped on the highway, investigating a separate collision in the collector lanes. The driver of the Honda failed to remain at the scene, police said.

The Lexus driver was taken to hospital but no other injuries were reported.Ìý
Officers launched an investigation into the Lexus driver but didn’t lay any charges, Const. Taylor Konkle told the Star.
Police are asking the public for help identifying the driver who fled the scene or for any information connected to a silver or grey Honda Civic with damage on the right side.
