Suspects sought after victim scammed out of $15K by police impersonator in Brampton

The two men entered the victim’s home in Brampton claiming to be police officers when she handed over her bank card

Suspects left the scene in a black four-door Mitsubishi SUV that had a working computer between the driver and passenger seat, fit with a police sticker, police said.Ìý  


Peel police say they are searching for two suspects after a victim was scammed out of $15,000 by someone impersonating an officer in Brampton.Ìý

According to police, the victim received a spam text on Saturday and responded with personal information because they believed it was real. Around 5:45 p.m., someone responded, saying he was an undercover ɫɫÀ² police officer, police said  on Friday.Ìý
