A teenager turned himself into police less than 48 hours after 14-year-old Abdoul Aziz Sarr聽was fatally stabbed in Leslieville over the weekend.聽
But the announcement that a 16-year-old boy had been charged with first-degree murder in his death was not made by 色色啦 police until Thursday, a day after the boy’s family buried him following an emotional funeral.
The 16-year-old was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday after turning himself in, .

Sarr鈥檚 parents on Thursday gave the Star permission to use his name and photo.
On Saturday around 10:10 p.m., 色色啦 paramedics were flagged down near a McDonalds in the area of 聽where they found the 14-year-old boy injured. He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Sarr was described by his mentor at the funeral on Wednesday as a disciplined Muslim, devoted son and basketball fan.聽
