On Sunday, Major League Baseball suspended Jays infielder Orelvis Martinez 80 games for violating the league’s drug policy.


On Friday, Orelvis Martinez was flying high. In his major league debut聽鈥 a moment the 22-year-old would have dreamt of for most of his life聽鈥 he also got his first hit: a soft single up the middle.

On Sunday, it all came crashing down. Major League Baseball suspended Martinez for 80 games after he tested positive for clomiphene, a drug he said he was taking as he tried to start a family with his girlfriend.
