A man was taken to hospital after two jet skis crashed at in Etobicoke Monday.

Members from the Marine Unit rescued the riders from the water and they were brought to shore to be treated by paramedics and fire services, police told the Star.Â

A man in his 30s who was riding one of the jet skis sustained a leg injury that paramedics described as “minor.” He was taken to a local hospital, paramedics said.
Another male was assessed on scene but was not transported, paramedics added. It’s unknown if he sustained any injuries.

During an enforcement blitz on the city’s waterways early last month, ɫɫÀ² police’s marine unit issues more than 50 tickets, with a total of over $12,000 in fines. Police also laid more than 20 bylaw charges, resulting in a total of $5,000 in fines.
