TORONTO - CanLit heavyweights Miriam Toews and Omar El Akkad are finalists for one of the country’s top non-fiction prizes. 

The Writers’ Trust of Canada says they are among the five authors shortlisted for the Hilary Weston Writers’ Trust Prize for Nonfiction.
