Michaela Coel wasn鈥檛 just chic at the premiere of her Steven Soderbergh-directed film “The Christophers.” The British actress used her outfit to honour the women of Sudan, in a traditional garment called a toub and a necklace inspired by West Sudanese jewelry. 鈥淭he toub made me feel elegant and powerful,鈥 Coel told Vogue. 鈥淚 chose espresso because dark-skinned women face prejudice and persecution in Sudan. The colour is beautiful, and this hue needs to be seen as such.鈥
