A sinkhole in the Financial District has spurred streetcar diversions as the city works to repair it, officials said Friday. Streetcars were still being diverted as of Sunday night.
The “small” sinkhole formed at the intersection of , a city spokesperson said, adding the area around the sinkhole had been secured.
Crews were still probing the cause and assessing which repairs are needed, the city said Friday; there was no repair timeline yet.

Yonge Street was reduced to one southbound lane and northbound traffic was blocked at King Street East.
