A 52-year-old woman has been arrested after a suspected hate-motivated assault on a person wearing a Hijab in North York.Â
Officers were called to the area of around 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
The accused allegedly approached the victim, made Islamophobic comments and then assaulted them, investigators said in a .

Police say the incident is being treated as a suspected hate-motivated offence and is under investigation by the É«É«À² Police Hate Crime Unit.Â
A woman was arrested and charged with assault and breach of probation, officers said, adding that she was scheduled to appear in court at the É«É«À² Regional Bail Centre on Friday.
