Two different stretches of the Line 1 Yonge-University subway will close on Saturday and Sunday. The TTC said in January that it was planning 38 full weekend closures this year.
Weekend commuters take note: a slew of closures are set for the Yonge-University subway line.
The TTC says they are shutting down service between Finch and Eglinton stations all day Saturday while crews work on the tunnel.
Shuttle buses will run along the six-station stretch of Line 1, , adding that North York Centre and Lawrence stations will be fully closed. But the four other stations聽鈥 Finch, Sheppard-Yonge, York Mills and Eglinton聽鈥 will stay open for riders to buy fares and connect to surface routes.

Subway service between Finch and Eglinton will restart Sunday morning.
But, as that stretch opens, another subway closure is planned for Sunday when trains will not be running between St. Clair West and St. Andrew stations all day for planned track work. Shuttle buses will run in their place,
Dupont, Museum, Queen鈥檚 Park, St. Patrick and Osgoode stations will be fully closed, though the four other stations on the Line 1 stretch will be open for riders to load PRESTO cards or connect to buses and streetcars.
Riders will also have to contend with a late opening on Line 2 (Bloor-Danforth) on Sunday morning with the TTC delaying the start of service from St. George to Chester until 11 a.m.
structural maintenance for the delays, adding that they will be running shuttle buses along that stretch from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Bay and Sherbourne stations will be fully closed during those hours.
鈥淲hile the TTC does most subway maintenance at the end of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete state-of-good-repair work,鈥 the agency said.聽
