Starting Thursday, further construction will begin in the Unionville GO station’s main parking lot, said . Riders have been asked to move their vehicles out of the main lot by 8 p.m. on Wednesday, or they may be towed to another area of the lot.
Part of the main lot is expected to be closed until mid-December, with the passenger pickup and drop-off area temporarily moved to the southwest area of the main lot.Â

Overall, 150 parking spaces will be closed at Unionville GO this week, and 690 spaces in the main lot will ultimately be closed as construction progresses. About 22 carpool parking spaces will be temporarily shut down, the statement noted.Â
Riders are advised to use the east overflow lot, which is a 10-minute walk from the platform, noting there will also be around 180 additional spaces available in . Walkways will also be put up to allow riders to travel from the parking lot to the train platform.Â
Accessible parking spaces will still be available, but some may be moved to the northwest corner of the main lot, the website said. Commuters with reserved parking spaces will still have access to them, but potentially in different locations. The transit provider said it will contact affected drivers.
Honda Indy will move from downtown ɫɫÀ² to Markham beginning in 2026 as part of a five-year agreement, according to a Sept. 3 announcement.
The first race under the agreement will take place Aug. 14 to 16.
