Bonnie Crombie resigns as Ontario Liberal leader

The move comes only hours after Crombie won 57 per cent of the votes in a leadership review vote.

Ontario Liberal leader Bonnie Crombie announced her resignation just hours after announcing her plan to stay on the job despite a 57 per cent vote in favour of her leadership.

A few hours after Crombie stood on stage at the Sheraton Centre ɫɫÀ² Hotel and announced plans to rebuild the party, Crombie issued a written statement announcing a plan to step down.
