Grant, whose individual stats still place him , isn’t satisfied. He spent extra time after practice Thursday, putting in more reps.

鈥淚 haven鈥檛 touched the end zone lately (and) I feel like I鈥檓 in last place right now, so I鈥檓 going to make sure I change that,鈥� he said.

鈥淎s a team we鈥檝e got to do better, make sure we have the right leverage, make sure we got the timing and everything down, and most importantly me just being able to do my job, just getting to the end zone, crossing that line, that鈥檚 always on my mind.鈥�

The Argos have given up the most yards on kickoff returns (an average of 28.75 per game) and punt returns (an average of 15.41) this season. They are averaging 9.75 yards on their punt returns (third-lowest in the league) and 22.53 yards on kickoff returns (fourth-lowest).

骋谤补苍迟听missed three games due to injuries, but he鈥檚 relatively healthy and wants to 鈥減ut my team in the best position possible.鈥� The Argos are 2-8 heading into Saturday鈥檚 home game against the B.C. Lions, but Grant expects better in the team’s final eight games.

鈥淥h we鈥檙e definitely going to make some noise. We鈥檙e hungry, I鈥檓 always definitely hungry,鈥� he said.

鈥� We鈥檝e got to go out there and make the best of it every time we step on the field, every time we have a chance to be able to go against our opponents and just bury them in the ground. That鈥檚 what we鈥檝e got to do.鈥�

A fired-up Grant might just be what the Argos’ special teams need.

鈥淣o question,鈥� head coach Ryan Dinwiddie said. 鈥淗e鈥檚 worked his butt off, he鈥檚 Mr. Consistent on our special teams. We鈥檝e got to find ways to get him some lanes in the returning game and give him a chance to make an explosion that can change the game.鈥�
