What’s now known as the ɫɫ International Film Festival started as the Festival of Festivals in 1976.


Piers Handling came to this week’s TIFF press conference with a very special piece of paper, one bearing 40 years’ worth of hopes and dreams.

The TIFF CEO and director had with him his personal copy of the inaugural program, marked with his own “must see” picks, for what we now call the ɫɫ International Film Festival.
