ɫɫÀ² police responded to a call for a disturbanceÌýat a home on Killamarsh Drive, which is nearÌý, just after 5:40 p.m. on Sunday evening.Ìý

The officers got into a physical altercation with the man, who lived in the house,Ìýand deployed a Taser, the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) said in a .
The man was handcuffedÌýand shortly after, went into medical distress.
Paramedics and police provided medical assistance but the man was pronounced dead at the scene, the SIU said.
ɫɫÀ² Fire crews were dispatched to the home for a “crime-related medical call” shortly after 6 p.m., approximately twenty minutes after police responded.
When firefighters arrived, they said emergency responders were performing CPR on one individualÌýand left the situation in the hands of the police.
Paramedics said they responded to the incidentÌýas a “high priority” call, meaning it was a possibly life-threatening situation,Ìýbut directed all further questions to the police.

Neighbours on the street said they asked police what was going on but were told their questions couldn’t be answered.
