Street racing suspected after Highway 401 crash in Etobicoke leaves one dead, three hurt

A 19-year-old man has been arrested after the crash involving two other vehicles, including a Ministry of Transportation truck.

The eastbound lanes of the 401 near Martin Grove Road and Dixon Road remained closed Saturday morning as police investigated the fatal crash. 


A 19-year-old man is facing charges after a crash tied to suspected racing on Highway 401 left one person dead and three others seriously injured in ɫɫÀ² overnight. 

According to a OPP news release, the crash involved three vehicles — a passenger vehicle, a disabled passenger vehicle and a Ministry of Transportation (MTO) truck — on the highway’s eastbound lanes near Dixon Road in Etobicoke around 1:15 a.m.
