DAKAR, Senegal (AP) — The West African nation of Ghana is the latest in a growing list of African countries that have received third-country nationals deported by the U.S. or agreed to receive them, a controversial approach whose legality lawyers for the deportees have questioned.

Other African nations that have received such deportees from the U.S. include , and . has agreed to a deal with the U.S. to take certain deported immigrants, although it is yet to receive any.
