In a video statement, OPP Sgt. Joe Brisebois said police started investigating after videos surfaced online showing a group of men discharging firearms “in a careless and unsafe manner” in Bracebridge, a town roughly two hours north of ɫɫÀ².
Screenshots taken from the videos and released by police appear to show five men pointing long guns into the air from a bridge. It’s unclear exactly where or when the clips emerged, but one image was labelled with the date June 25.Â

OPP previously appealed to the public for information about the videos, urging anyone with details about the identities of the men to come forward.Â
“The actions pose serious risks to the safety of everyone nearby,” Brisebois said.
On Wednesday, OPP arrested and charged a Brampton man with two counts of careless use of a firearm. His gun licence and weapons were also seized.Â
The investigation remains ongoing.
