The 50th edition of the is now officially underway and day one of the celebration was already packed with celebrities in the city.
But if you didn鈥檛 manage to make it to the crowds of movie fanatics on King Street West, we鈥檝e got you covered on the stars that have graced the festival so far. Here鈥檚 a look at who was in town on Thursday evening.
Charli xcx

The film features a 鈥溾 between a Polish florist, played by Lena G贸ra, and a British tourist, played by Charlotte Emma Aitchison, better known as Charli xcx.
Known for hits like 鈥淐lub classics鈥 and 鈥淰on Dutch,鈥 the British singer gained international fame for her electro-pop music and for popularizing the term 鈥淏rat Summer鈥 after her 2024 album release 鈥淏rat.鈥
She’s also made an appearance acting in the Prime Video comedy series 鈥淥vercompensating鈥 starring Benito Skinner and is set to star in and produce an upcoming film called 鈥淭he Moment鈥 at A24, according to .
Elle Fanning

The film was already the Grand Prix winner at this year鈥檚 Cannes Film Festival and according to , it鈥檚 one that 鈥渋s going to make a big impact come award season.鈥

Renate Reinsve

But this isn鈥檛 her first time working with him. The pair also acted together in the 2021 film 鈥淭he Worst Person in the World,” also directed by Trier.
Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaa

Joachim Trier

The director was born in Copenhagen and raised in Oslo but studied at the National Film and Television School in England. His debut feature, 鈥淩eprise鈥 won in 2006.
Ryan Reynolds and Colin Hanks

Canadian icon Ryan Reynolds and actor Colin Hanks were also seen attending the world premiere of Hanks鈥 documentary 鈥淛ohn Candy: I Like Me.鈥 The documentary opened up the festival and includes candid testimonies from the beloved Canadian actor and comedian鈥檚 friends and family including Steve Martin, Tom Hanks, Catherine O鈥橦ara and more.
Ethan Hawke
Ethan Hawke seen at BISHA Hotel in 色色啦 during TIFF.聽
SubmittedAward-winning actor Ethan Hawke made an appearance at 色色啦鈥檚 BISHA Hotel ahead of the Canadian premiere of Richard Linklater鈥檚 film 鈥淏lue Moon.鈥 Hawke plays Richard Rogers鈥 former lyricist Lorenz Hart.
The hotel is once again home to Deadline Portrait Studio during TIFF this year.
Shailene Woodley

SubmittedAlso spotted at the BISHA Hotel was Shailene Woodley who stars in Postsy Ponciroli鈥檚 鈥淢otor City,鈥 making its North American premiere during the festival. Alan Ritchson and Ben Foster act alongside Woodley in the film.

But this won鈥檛 be it for celebrity sightings at TIFF. From world premieres featuring actors like Angelina Jolie and Seth Rogen to appearances from celebrities including Margaret Qualley and Jacob Elordi, there are still who will make their way to the festival.
